The Current
By Tim Johnston
An act of violence against two young women sends their car crashing into an icy river, with only one making it out alive. The survivor, Audrey, awakens to find the crime has sent shockwaves through her small Minnesota town, a place frozen in time by grief from a similar, unsolved murder ten years before. As Audrey struggles to heal from her own wounds, she dredges up long-buried secrets about the past crime and its links to the present.
Miki Johnson is adapting for television and Susanna Fogel will direct. David E. Kelley is executive producing.
